Community events

A number of events throughout the year let Lothian Buses passengers see our services from another perspective.

The annual Doors Open Day, usually held in September, allows the public to see inside one of our depots. It’s a fun day out and an opportunity to find out more about our fleet and operations.

Passengers who’d like the chance to speak directly to staff and air their opinions on bus travel in Edinburgh can join in one of our regular Bus Users’ Surgeries.

See the list below for details of all our regular events.

Doors Open Day 2017

Your chance to see behind the scenes at Lothian Buses.

See the display of new and vintage buses, find out about the history of the Company’s listed building, take a trip through the bus wash or try some bus ‘racing’!

As part of the event this year, we will be running some of our extensive fleet of vintage buses on the Service 26 between Eastfield and Atholl Crescent, stopping close to our Central Depot on Annandale Street, an option to get you to the event. These buses will run at least every 10 minutes from 0900 – 1800.
