Meet Marine

Our second Guide Dogs puppy has been born

After raising £15,000 for Guide Dogs Scotland, we have received news that our second puppy has arrived.

Marine, named after the garage that started our Guide Dog Scotland fundraising campaign, was born on 21 February.

We are awaiting on news of the birth of our third puppy Buster.

Over the next year, we will receive updates on the puppies’ progress as well as having a visit from them before they start at the Guide Dog Training School.

Community Fundraiser for Guide Dogs, Anne Rowse, said:

The staff at Lothian Buses did an amazing thing by raising a staggering £15,000 for Guide Dogs.
They organised lots of different activities, including a sponsored cycle from Lands’ End to John O’ Groats, and some of the staff even bared all for a charity calendar.
To raise funds to name one guide dog puppy is incredible, and Lothian Buses have been able to name three. We rely on donations and thanks to the kind support of Lothian Buses, we will be able to make a real difference to people who are blind or partially sighted by partnering them with a guide dog.
