'What's On' guide this month is a festival special as there are so many differents ones on in May!

1.  2017 European Rugby Challenge Cup and Champions Cup Finals 12 – 13 May

2. Festival of Museums 19-21 May

This year, Scotland’s museums and galleries have their biggest calendar of events ever planned for the Festival of Museums weekend from Friday 19 – Sunday 21 May. There’s sure to be something for everyone in their exciting packed programme.

3 Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival 26-28 May

Definately one to take the bus to - The Edinburgh Craft Beer Festival is a celebration of passion, creativity and quality in brewing. Over the last May Bank Holiday weekend the Biscuit Factory will play host to hundreds of super special beers, street food, live music and DJs Sounds like a great day out.

4. Hidden Door Festival 26 May - 4 June

Returning for its fourth year, the multi arts Hidden Door Festival takes place in the old Leith Theatre with 10 days and nights of music, theatre, visual art, film and spoken word bringing the stunning venue back to life.

5.  Edinburgh International Children's Festival 27 May - 4 June

The Edinburgh International Children's Festival is Scotland's international festival of performing arts for children and young people.

Every year the Festival, previously known as the Imaginate Festival, showcases the finest selection of shows from Scotland and across the world. In 2016, this included companies from New Zealand, Belgium, Australia, Norway, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany.
