Disabled Access Day 2017

Come and see us this weekend at Ocean Terminal

In 2015 Disabled Access Day began as a day to celebrate good access and created opportunities for people to try something new.

This years event, sponsored by Euan's Guide takes place this weekend and once again we will be taking part to give everyone the chance to see how accessible bus travel can be.

Our team will be at Ocean Terminal with one of our service 22 vehicles on 11 March 1100 - 1500.

These new buses have been designed to make bus use easy and convenient for everyone and feature:

  • Low entrances to give step free access
  • Retractable boarding ramp for wheelchair access
  • Completely flat areas on the lower deck
  • High visibility handrails
  • A dedicated wheelchair space
  • Audible stop announcements
  • Stop radar which detects and announces stops in the vicinity
  • Stop alarm which alerts on approach to pre-selected stops

Come along and see us at the entrance to the shopping centre.  Try boarding the bus at your leisure and chat to our team who will be happy to assist and answer your questions and queries.

For anyone interested in trying out the new Edinburgh Bus Tours bus fleet, our tour colleagues will be at the John Hope Gateway entrance to the Royal Botanic Garden on Saturday 1100 - 1500.

We hope to see you at one of these venues.
