Great placings for Team Lothian at bus driving competition

Our drivers receive recognition at UK Bus Driver of the Year Competition

We are delighted that one of our drivers, Scott Crosbie, was placed third at the weekend's UK Bus Driver of the Year in Blackpool. contest after a gruelling series of theory and practical tests.

The competition, which is regarded as the premier skills event in the bus industry puts drivers through a gruelling series of thory and practical tests.  This year, over 100 bus drivers took part demonstrating their knowledge and skills by completing a theory exam, a bus safety check, manoeuvring exercises, as well as a 3-mile driving test.

Scott Crosbie said:

It was a real privilege to represent Lothian at this years UK Bus Driver of the Year finals in Blackpool. The competition was really high and it was a great achievement for me to come third. All the hard work and training I had received beforehand really paid off.

Scott was one of five drivers who attended the competition as part of the Lothian Team. The others, Adam Stitt, Stephen McLeod, David Swaney and Jim McDonald all did fantastically well being placed 33rd, 46th, 59th and 74th.
