Service Changes from 23 April

New timetables now available

Thank you to everyone for their feedback following our service change announcement.  It's great to hear so many of your are excited about our new Service 200.

As promised, we can now share with you our new timetables from 23 April.

From Sunday 23rd April, we will be making changes to your buses. Including NEW Service 200.

Route and Timetable Changes
Service 3   Route and Timetable Changes
Re-routed to serve Bonnyrigg Road and the A7 in both directions to serve more of Eskbank. Two buses per hour during the day Monday to Friday will be re-routed to serve Dalkeith Campus instead of Mayfield, replacing service 49. At Mayfield service 33 will now additionally serve D’Arcy Road and Oak place.

Service 15/X15   Route and Timetable Changes
Buses will no longer serve Portobello, Musselburgh and Prestonpans. Instead the route will extend east from the City to Lochend (Findlay Gardens) via Regent Road and Marionville Road, providing faster journeys from Lochend to the City Centre. Daytime buses will now run as service 15, observing all stops, with peak time journeys continuing to operate as limited stop (with an additional stop at Braid Hills Hotel).

Service 18   Route and Timetable Changes
MORE BUSES. Route extended from the Royal Infirmary to Fort Kinnaird via Little France Drive and Greendykes Road. Frequency doubled to every 30 minutes Monday to Sunday.

Service 21   Route and Timetable Changes
MORE BUSES. Revised route to and from the Royal Infirmary via Little France Drive and Greendykes Road, cutting journey times. All Monday to Saturday daytime buses will be extended to the Royal Infirmary, doubling the current frequency to every 15 minutes. As a result Links Gardens will no longer be served. Buses will also serve Clovenstone at peak times Monday to Friday partly replacing service 32.

Service 33   Route and Timetable Changes
Route revised in the Mayfield area, with all journeys now operating via D'Arcy Road and Oak Place providing new direct links to the Royal Infirmary and Newbattle Medical Centre. Monday to Friday daytime frequency is reduced to every 20 minutes.

Service 36   Route and Timetable Changes
MORE BUSES. Route extended from Glenlockhart to the Gyle Centre via Longstone, Sighthill, Hermiston Gait and Edinburgh Park. This will provide new direct links from Bruntsfield, Morningside and Longstone to the Gyle area, as well as providing direct links between Napier’s campuses at Sighthill, Glenlockhart and Merchiston. Later evening buses on all days.

Service 40   Route and Timetable Changes
Revised route in Musselburgh – buses will no longer operate via Mall Avenue, Olive Bank Road and Newhailes Road, instead operating from Musselburgh High Street via Bridge Street, North High Street and Edinburgh Road to Eastfield Terminus.

Service 42   Route and Timetable Changes
Route curtailed to terminate at Craigleith Retail Park, no longer serving Blackhall, Drylaw or Davidson’s Mains. Partly replaced at Drylaw by new service 200 (providing links to Ocean Terminal) and an improved Saturday frequency on service 24. Monday to Saturday late evening buses will run between King’s Road and Bristro Square only.

Service 44   Route and Timetable Changes
All journeys to Balerno will now operate a one-way loop via Johnsburn Road and Cockburn Crescent as service 44, replacing service 44A journeys.

Service 45   Route and Timetable Changes
Saturday service withdrawn due to low passenger demand.

Service 49   Route and Timetable Changes
Buses will no longer serve the Asda terminus at The Jewel, however will extend from The Jewel (bus gate) to Fort Kinnaird providing new links to the retail park for Leith, Lochend and Portobello. Monday to Friday daytime frequency is reduced to every 20 minutes, with all buses now serving Bonnyrigg and Rosewell, improving the frequency in these areas. Dalkeith Campus will instead be served by service 3.

Service 69   Route and Timetable Changes
Route altered to serve Craigentinny Avenue and Nantwich Drive, providing new links to and from Portobello High Street.

Service N7   Route and Timetable Changes
Minor route change at Royal Infirmary – will operate to and from the bus interchange using Little France Drive.

Services 10, 23, 27   MORE BUSES
Sunday daytime frequencies increased to every 20 minutes. Service 10 will now serve Bonaly or Torphin Sunday daytime.

Service 24   MORE BUSES
Saturday daytime frequency increased to every 20 minutes. Monday to Saturday late evening frequency increased to every 30 minutes.

Service 32   Withdrawn
This is partly replaced by new service 200 between Drumbrae and Granton, and service 21 which will now serve Clovenstone at peak times Monday to Friday.

Service 200   NEW Service
NEW service linking North Edinburgh to Edinburgh Airport every 30 minutes, every day of the week from 0410hours until midnight. Route: Ocean Terminal – Newhaven – Granton – Muirhouse – Drylaw – Blackhall – Clermiston – Drum Brae – Gogarburn – Airport. Special fares will apply on journeys to/from Edinburgh Airport.
