Silver win at the UK Bus Awards

Lothian take Silver in two categories

We are delighted to have won Silver in both the ‘Top City Operator’ and ‘Environmental’ categories at the official presentation ceremony held at Troxy in London today (21 November).

The awards, which are in their 22nd year, are regarded as the highest industry accolades in the UK and are designed to recognise innovation, excellence and progress across all areas of the bus industry.

This latest achievement follows on from our success at last year’s awards, where we scooped two silver awards for the ‘Top City Operator’ and ‘Sustained Marketing Excellence’ categories and a bronze award for the ‘Putting Passengers First’ category.

Richard Hall, Managing Director of Lothian, said:

We are delighted to take the Silver award in both the ‘Top City Operator’ and ‘Environmental’ categories at the UK Bus Awards.

This recognition is testament to the boundless hard work and dedication of all our staff from across the business, along with the vision that the whole team has to evolve our bus and transport provision for our customers to ensure that we constantly evolve our offering and are fit for the future.

We look forward to another year committed to improving and investing in our services, people, technology and fleet for the benefit of the hundreds of thousands of customers we serve everyday across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

We have also enjoyed other award wins in recent years including; Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing award at the 2017 National Transport Awards for its outstanding work on East Coast Buses, operator of the Year at the 2016 Scottish Transport Awards and the Transport Award at the 2016 VIBES awards.
