Lothian Street, Bonnyrigg from Monday 17 July

To allow utility works to take place Lothian Street and part of Eskbank Road, Bonnyrigg will be closed to eastbound buses from 0700 hrs Monday 17 July for approximately 4 weeks.

Diversion:

Streets shown in bold below have an alternative bus stop for diverted services, please refer to the map below for details.

 

Service 39 will be unable to serve the B6392 at Brixwold, Cockpen Road, Dundas Street, Lothian Street or part of Eskbank Road.  Instead buses will be diverted between Dalhousie Road (Newtongrange) and Midlothian Community Hospital via the A7 on journeys towards Dalkeith only.

Service 40 will be unable to serve Hillhead, Bonnyrigg High Street, Lothian Street or Eskbank Road.  Instead buses will be diverted between Lasswade Road and Hardengreen (Tesco) via Melville Dykes Road and the A7 on journeys towards Eastfield only.

Service 49 will be unable to serve Lothian Street or part of Eskbank Road .  Instead buses will be diverted between Polton Street (Bonnyrigg) and Hardengreen (Tesco) via Dundas Street, Cockpen Road, B6392 and the A7.

 

Bus stops:

The bus stops on Lothian Street and Eskbank Road (south of Midlothian Community Hospital) heading towards Dalkeith will be closed during these works.  Buses on diversion will stop at all regular stops on their diversion routes.

 

Interchange:

Passengers can change buses at the following locations:

Lasswade Road, between services 31 and 40.

Hardengreen (Tesco), between services 39 40 and 49.

Please note passengers are required to pay a fare on each bus.
